- When can I see turtles in Tortuguero?
Normally the egg-laying of the green turtle can be appreciated in the months between July and September. Two months after the egg-laying the possibility fits of seeing green turtles when being born, this occurs in the months of September and October, the probability of seeing these reptiles is not guaranteed. The egg-laying of the turtle baula takes I finish between the months between April, May and June approximately, this egg-laying happens unnoticed since the visits are not on great scale, and this causes that tours is not sold.
- Can I go in a rented car to Tortuguero?
Is Not posible to get to the Tortuguero Town by car, due that Tortuguero does not count with terrestrial ways, however if you are travelling by a rented car you can take the San José - Pavona´s route (see map),In the Pavona Place you will find a private parking where you can leave you car there, then you must take a boat to Tortuguero Town. On the contrary if you are comming from Cahuita to Tortuguero (see map), travelling by a rented car you can leave the car in a private parking ubicated in Moin - Limón or if you want you can leave it at the caño Blanco parking in Siquirres.
- How Long last my trip to Tortuguero?
The trip San Jose - Tortuguero (see map) It will take you 6hrs approx to get to Tortuguero; Puerto Viejo (Limón) -Tortuguero (see map) It will take you 5 ½ hrs approx.
Arenal-Tortuguero It will take you 8 hrs approx.
- What do I have to bring to Tortuguero?
- Rubber boots, are rented in the town of Tortuguero.

- Do I need an international drivers license to drive a car in Costa Rica?
No. An International license is not required. You are allowed to drive with your normal drivers license for whatever is the term of your visa

Probably not but that depends on the voltage in your home country. Outlets here are 110 V, with standard US two prong plugs (or three prong if grounded).
