Pachira Lodge is located between the Penitencia river canal, by its rear side and the Main Tortuguero canal, by its front side. Pachira Lodge is 14 hectares long and can be found at approximately 5 minutes from the main entrance of Tortuguero National Park. Because of its location and quality service, Pachira Lodge Hotel is the right place for you to take a splendid vacation in a scenery that is simply fascinating. To do this, we provide daily transportation from San Jose without any minimum number of required passengers.
Our lodge is built in modules of four rooms each. We have 85 comfortable rooms available. Each one has its own private bathroom, hot water, ceiling fans and a single and a double bed. Rooms are decorated with wooden and bamboo furniture that will make you feel in the tropical paradise of the North Caribbean side of Costa Rica.
In addition, all of our delicious dishes are served in a buffet style for you and your friends to enjoy a more intimate meal. Our bar is located on one side of the restaurant, next to the swimming pool. There, our specialized staff will surprise you with a great variety of drinks and cocktails.
Our swimming pool has a very characteristic design from our region; it was built to have the shape of a turtle laying eggs.
Moreover, Pachira Lodge Hotel is faithfully committed to the Tortuguero community; it gives funding and hosting to visitors and important events that are developed locally. In a like manner, Pachira Lodge Hotel makes use of part of its human resources to collect garbage in Tortuguero town on a weekly basis. Besides, the support given by Pachira Lodge Hotel is reflected in its contribution to the school, high school, and National Park of Tortuguero. All the endeavors of this prestigious hotel are also manifested by its friendliness with the environment. Within our policies, we have developed several programs in this sense from which the following stand out:
Gas Emission Program: : It consists of the collection of all recyclable, unrecyclable, and organic materials which are carefully selected to be taken to different places where they will be processed in the best possible way
Waste Water Program: : For three years, our hotel has been working with the well-known School of Agriculture of EARTH University to use a microorganism called EM, which inhibits the process of decay. Consequently, to clean our rooms, we use products that contain EM instead of chlorine.
Waste Water Treatment Program: This is our most recent program which consists of keeping track of the waters thrown by the hotel and their corresponding treatment.

Walks are led by our guides who will make you spend a great day. Besides, if you want, you can take a walk in our self-guided trails and enjoy nature by yourself.
Our official bartender will delight you with a huge number of drinks that you will enjoy. Among them, you can try margaritas, “cucarachas”, and “coco loco”.
Going for a dip in our pleasant swimming pool is simply agreeable both in the morning and at the end of the day.
For one hour, you will enjoy an incredible adventure through the rain forest tree tops. Our canopy allows all family members to travel from one tree to another in a safe yet funny way.
Sport fishing is done in different areas, such as streams, canals, estuaries, and when the weather conditions allow it, in the sea. In those places, you will be able to catch a number of different fish.
Early in the morning, by means of our morning tour, our hotel will give you the opportunity to travel through majestic canals, admiring the great beauty that Tortuguero National Park shows to us.
In this tour, you will be able to find out about the type of living at the Tortuguero town inhabitants, as well as visiting the local museum where you will be informed about the conservation of green sea turtles.
This is a more personal way of enjoying the attractions of Tortuguero National Park since you will have to paddle to travel through the calm canals of this place.
