::Tortuguero Canals Tour::
Often called, "Costa Rica's Amazon", Tortuguero is a navigable network of lakes and channels that crosses this National Park and allows a great diversity of fauna and flora to be observed close at hand. It is possible to observe Iguana basking in trees, Monkeys and Sloths in the forest canopy, and the Raphia Palm with the largest leaves of any plant.

:: TURTLE NESTING: NIGHTTIME WALKS (Jun-Oct only)::
You will actually stand a few feet from a 300 pound Green Sea Turtle while she lays 80-100 eggs, covers up her nest, perhaps digs a false nest to throw off predators, and, finally, after more than an hour, returns to the sea. Escorted by the best Tortuguero Guides available, visitors will have the opportunity to see a major nesting beach for the Atlantic Green Sea Turtle up close. There are two, 2-hour tours per night. One leaves at about 8:00 p.m. and the other at 10:00 p.m. Start times are by lottery run by the Park Service and cannot be guaranteed. If it is raining too hard we cancle the tour and refund the money. Available June to Oct. only.

:: TORTUGUERO VILLAGE TOURS ::
Tour the village of Tortuguero with a local guide. Learn about the history of the village and it’s efforts to get their basic needs met such as running water, medical and dental care, garbage collection and management. Visit the local school (when in session) the Park headquarters, the general goods store and walk through down the paths lines with colorful Afro-Caribbean homes. Stop for a chat with the locals and learn about their way of life. Includes lunch at Miss Juney’s where the menu will most likely be rice and beans, chicken, fried bread fruit or patacones (fried green plantains), and natural fruit juices.

tree in a safety way and entertainment at the same time, through a cable at the top of the rainy tropical forest.
The Tour lasts approximately one hour and half, our equipment are safe and certified by the European Union, the manuals of security are approved by the I.C.T (Costa Rica Tourism Board) and we counted with the corresponding policies for the activity.
Our infrastructure is compound of 11 platforms, 4 suspension bridges, 7 cables, 1 shot of Tarzan, and a rock climbing.

Tortuguero is world renowned for its turtle nesting and recently it has become famous for a large variety of bird species, especially migratory birds.

Tortuguero es considerado el sitio más importante de la parte occidental del Caribe para el desove de la Tortuga Verde. El desove de la tortuga verde es uno de los fenómenos naturales más interesantes. El proceso, es considerado el período más crítico del ciclo biológico de la tortuga, por tener las hembras que salir a las playas en gran número y en períodos más o menos fijos. Estas concentraciones y la dificultad de desplazarse sobre la arena, hacen a estas especies muy vulnerables al hombre y otros depredadores. Es por esta razón por el cual el Parque Nacional de Tortuguero, se interesa en la protección de estas especies marinas. Sin duda alguna esto es una experiencia que usted no debe perderse cuando visite la zona de Tortuguero entre los meses comprendidos de julio a septiembre.

::Visita al Pueblo Tortuguero::
Conocer la historia que alberga el poblado de Tortuguero no puede pasar desapercibido por su vista y conocimiento, en esta visita guiada a la aldea usted podrá enterarse de la formación y costumbres que tuvo este pequeño, pero atractivo lugar, de igual forma conocerá la playa donde cientos de tortugas vienen cada año a desovar, así como también el museo local que debe su construcción a la protección de la tortuga marina, si usted lo desea puede llevarse un presente de las múltiples tiendas de souvenir que se encuentran en el poblado, para que siempre recuerde que visito uno de los lugares más hermosos de Costa Rica.

::Canopy Tour::
Senderos Aéreos de Tortuguero son los anfitriones del primer Canopy  ubicado en la exuberante zona de Tortuguero  a unos pocos minutos del  Parque Nacional Tortuguero, venga y disfrute  de una increíble aventura por el dosel  de los árboles en medio de la selva  desde una perspectiva diferente.

El Canopy les permite a todos los miembros de la familia  y de todas las edades ir de árbol en árbol de una forma segura y entretenida, por medio de un cable en lo alto del bosque tropical lluvioso.

El tour tiene una duración de aproximadamente una hora y media, los equipos son seguros y están certificados por la Unión Europea, los manuales de seguridad están aprobados por el I.C.T., y contamos con las pólizas correspondientes a la actividad.
La  infraestructura está compuesta de 11 plataformas, 4 puentes colgantes, 7 cables, 1 tiro de tarzan, y una pared de escalada.

Tortuguero es una zona estratégicamente ubicada,  ya que permite el acceso a diversas áreas utilizadas para la pesca, como lo es Barra del Colorado, Barra de Parismina, y  Barra del Tortuguero, combinando las exóticas aguas dulces y saladas en la zona caribeña, con exuberante paisajes naturales en donde encontramos una flora y fauna única en el mundo. Tortuguero recientemente se ha vuelto famoso por su gran variedad de especies de pájaros, especialmente de pájaros migratorios.

Le invitamos a explorar parte de este colorido mundo que es realmente un banquete para sus ojos. Esta será una experiencia única en uno de los exuberantes bosques tropicales húmedos.
En Tortuguero se han identificado aproximadamente 330 especies de aves, podemos ver algunas de las siguientes:

Colibrí ermitaño, ninfa coronivioleta, ibis verde, águila pescadora, gavilán chapulinero, lapa roja, lapa verde, pájaro estaca, martín pescador, reinitas , halcón peregrino, trogones, pájaro carpintero, garza agami o pechicastaña, garzón azulado, tucanes (3 especies), bolseros, bucos, correlimos, oropéndolas, garcillas, gallareta morada.
